Winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play. Middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia share a home in Bucks County, PA, where they bicker and complain about the circumstances of their lives. Suddenly, their movie-star sister, Masha, swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike. Old resentments flare up eventually leading to threats to sell the house. Also on the scene are sassy maid Cassandra, who can predict the future, and a lovely young aspiring actress named Nina, whose prettiness somewhat worries the imperious Masha.

Taos Onstage continues the Taos Onstage New Works Showcase on these dates. Works between five and ten minutes long will be read aloud to a live audience. Submit your short plays, sketches and works-in-progress to taosonstagecontest@gmail.com.

Have you submitted your work to the 2023-2024 Don Keefe Memorial Playwriting Contest? Open to all residents of New Mexico, the contest will award one or more playwrights with a full production of their play, produced by Taos Onstage. Submit full length plays, short plays, or works in progress, to taosonstagecontest@gmail.com. Submissions must be received by June 1, 2024 to be considered. Additional attention will be paid to submissions that have been performed at the Taos Onstage New Works Showcase.
