Wonder of the World is a satirical dark comedy that presents a world that is just a bit off. The play opens as Cass is packing her suitcase to leave her marriage because she just discovered her husband’s deep, dark secret. Before she is able to leave, her husband, Kip, surprises her by coming home early from work with a special treat —an aspic—not the typical special treat one would expect. Cass is determined to go to Niagara Falls where she will try to check off her “must do” items on her list she has compiled over the past 7 years of marriage. She travels by bus where she meets up with Lois, who becomes her reluctant “sidekick”. Zany characters and situations create a misadventure with lots of shock value and unexpected laughs along the way.
Wonder of The World will be performed October 17-20; 24-27 at The WildFlower Playhouse.
